Description : |
Masking Compound is an air drying organosol, which finds use for masking the area of metal parts that are not to be electroplated. It has sufficient adherence to enable it to withstand plating cycles, but is easily peeled off after it has served its purpose. It is suitable to use in chromium and other plating processes. |

Application : |
Masking Compound can be applied by brushing / spraying / dipping. Apply two more coats depending upon article involved, where sharp edges are present, extra coats are recommended. In brushing, use a full brush and avoid repeated back and forth brush strokes, which may result in thin spots. Allow each dip or brush coat to dry for 5 to 10 mins. Air dry the final coat for minimum 1 hour before plating to achieve best results. If the masking was overlapped an areas which are to be plated, cut the coating with a sharp knief at the plating line and peel it off where it has overlapped. Avoid any tearing action which may loosen the coating from adjacent areas.
For spraying, use M.C. Deluter to adjust the viscosity. |

Packing : |
20 liters containers |
|
Storage : |
Organosols have tendency to thicken ( increase in viscosity ) on standing and therefore should be stored in a cool and dry place. Always keep the lid tightly closed after use. |
|
Shelf Life : |
Six months under normal temperature conditions. |
|
Precautions : |
Making Compound contains volatile ingredients. Hence not to be used be near flame or heat. |
